My Towel of White

(I wrote this poem for Primary on 1/5/13.  I am still debating the title, but wanted to post it here to state that this is my own writing and is not to be copied without written permission. A dear friend is looking into putting this to music for our ward Primary)

I set upon a course today,
and chose to live a better way;
My little body dressed in white,
A covenant made to Choose the Right.

To follow Jesus is my plan,
And do the best at all I can;
He came to earth to show the way,
Today I promise to obey.

This towel and I are dressed in white,
A symbol of the Savior's light;
Clean and pure I'll strive to be,
Reminded by the towel giv'n me.

Each Sunday I take the Sacrament,
In remembrance of the Son God sent;
Renewing covenants made this day,
Reminding me the price He paid.
